With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

JANUARY 9, 2013: HYRUM'S MISSION CALL

HYRUM'S MISSION CALL
JANUARY 9, 2013

I received a text from Hyrum saying, 
"I'm now holding it in my hands.  Its rather surreal."
Hyrum's mission call had arrived.  He made plans to open it that evening.
Robert, Alison, Melissa and a few cousins were able to be there and it was quite exciting!!!  Here in Arkansas, we were all gathered around a laptop computer on Skype.  
Thanks to our son-in-law, Robert, we have pictures and video to 
enjoy!!  In the video, you will see a couple of girls at a desk holding a phone -- that is us watching from Arkansas!!! And then he talks to 
us to make sure we heard everything!!

Hyrum has been called to serve the Lord for 2 years in the Taipai, Taiwann mission.  We are so excited for him and all the adventure and learning and growth that lie ahead.
We love you Hyrum!!!
