With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

JULY 23, 2012 -- GARDEN HARVEST

JULY 23, 2012 -- GARDEN HARVEST!!!

We are starting to havest some new things in our garden!  The hot weather is tough on the plants, but we keep watering them!!!



Today we picked our first cucumber and there are dozens of more baby ones just starting!  We harvested our first tomatoes and with many more to come!
The corn is tasseled out and the crooked necked squash is maturing.  The zucchini is of course doing well and I just put 16 bags of shredded zucchini in the freezer!  Turnips are big, bok choy and swiss chard are doing well.  Green peppers and the Annaheim peppers are continuing to produce!
