With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

JULY 7, 2012 -- DAVID AND PETER
We have another new addition to our family -- Peter.  David asked if he could have the box that the new blinds for the master bathroom came in and I said yes.  David's creativity is endless.  He started walking around and letting the creative juices flow. According to David, he said that he went into the exercise room and said to Rachel, "Rachel, meet my new box friend."  "Light Bulb" moment for David -- he said he knew exactly what to do with the box.  On the plain backside, David and Rachel drew a boy and colored him.  Then the decided that it would be cool if the box could sit down, too.  This led to cutting out the cardboard boy and mounting a handle on the back and naming him "Peter."  Mason calls for Peter to come and play!  Peter just went with the family to the library!  Peter sits very well in a chair!  David is thrilled to have a new friend who will sleep with him at night so he doesn't get scared!  You gotta love a cardboard box!
