With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

MAY 3, 2014: SHANGHAI DISTRICT WOMEN'S CONFERENCE

SHANGHAI DISTRICT WOMEN'S CONFERENCE
MAY 3, 2014

Amy and I were offered a ride to the LDS Women's Conference in Shanghai and we were so excited!!!  We were nervous about leaving the kids, but we gave them a big pep talk!  Also, Brother Hiatt offered to help keep tabs on them -- so we went.  It was fantastic and such a great boost to our spirits!

 After the classes and workshops, we all participated in a service project and we put together kits for orphanages and packets of rice to be donated to the needy.  It was great to help!!

 This is a poster for LDS Charities that goes in and helps 
various China based organizations.
Everything has to be done indirectly.

While we were gone, the amazing Seth Hiatt took his 3 teens and all of our kids to Old Town.  They rode the subway and explored and had some great food.
