With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

DAVID AND THE DEAD BIRD

It is quite normal for David to come home with interesting things.  I really discourage him bringing dead animals in the house and I also discourage him from catching wild animals for pets.  Today, he came home with a dead bird in a box and he said that his teacher told him to bury it and then dig it up in the spring and see if the bird had decomposed.  Hmmm.  OK.  So off David went and he buried the bird.  Education at work.
