This weekend was the Fall Festival and is a time that the Chinese eat a lot of "moon cakes." The moon cakes are interesting, but aren't my favorite. Rebecca really like them and they were fun to try!
It was quite a treat to have Lilly and her husband and their daughter Sophie come visit us in Suzhou and take us to lunch. Dad and left for the USA for the funeral of Joe White so we missed him. We enjoyed visiting with Lilly and reconnecting with her. Lilly was our Ayi when we lived in

Shanghai 11 years ago. She became a dear friend!
Lilly brought us moon cakes and Richard also brought us moon cakes. Richard told us that there were ice cream moon cakes but we never found those.
