There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

JULY 15, 2012 -- MASON'S FIRST TALK

JULY 15, 2012 -- MASON'S FIRST TALK

Today, Mason gave his first talk in Primary!!  We had tried this once before but he didn't even want to stand at the pulpit.  Today we weren't sure if he would say anything, but worked our strategy carefully!
Mason loves to watch "Agent Oso" and "Blue's Clues" so we used those as a fun way for him to want to give his talk.
First, I said that Mason loves to watch "Blues Clues" so he wants to give you some clues to figure out what his talk is about.
Then I said, "The first clue is ...."  and Mason said, "Water."
"Second Clue...." and Mason said, "Priesthood."
Third clue is .....  and Mason said, "Immersion."
Mason's talk is about "Baptism," said Mason.
Then we said that Mason loves to watch "Super Agent Oso" and so Mason wants to tell you "Three Special Steps" for getting baptized!
The first step is ... and Mason said, "put on white clothes."
Second step is .... "Dad says a special prayer."
Third step .... "Go all the way under the water."
That is how you get baptized!

It might have seemed silly to some, but we were so excited that Mason said all the parts and helped to give his talk!!!!
Yahoo Mason!!!

  1. Not silly at all. I think it is the perfect way to help a little one get started. Wish I had thought of it.
