With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL -- Part 1
JUNE 3, 2014

 The youth here in Suzhou have a tradition to go via e-bike to McDonald's for breakfast and then to the Dragon Boat Races on Jinji Lake.  
Our kids were quite excited!  The youth all met at the church ad loaded up on bikes and off they went!

 There is a drummer on each boat that helps to keep the rhythm of the rowing.





 It started to rain and all the Chinese people ran for cover but the foreigners just stayed and watched!














 There was a huge TV screen with it all showing live.
