There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

MAY 14, 2013 -- OUR FIRST GRANDBABY

OUR FIRST GRANDBABY
MAY 14, 2013
ABIGAIL MARIE CLAWSON
8lbs   21.5" long
born at 7:24am
Abigail with her proud parents, Robert and Alison
What a beautiful new family!!
Welcome Abigail to our family!!
You are a precious gift sent from our Heavenly Father

Aunt Melissa LOVES to hold babies!
Little Abigail is sticking out her tongue just like
Alison did when she was a baby!!!

Now it is Uncle Hyrum's turn!
We called him "Uncle Elder Hyrum" since Hyrum is a set apart,
full-time missionary! Hyrum was hoping that he would get to meet his first little niece before he enters the MTC tomorrow afternoon!!
Thanks Abigail for coming to earth in time for Hyrum to meet you!!!
Hyrum was sad to think that Abigail will be walking and talking
before he sees her again.

What a joy it was to spend some time with my oldest children and our new little Abigail!! Life is sweet with so many rich blessings!

Abigail had some communicating to do for this picture!
But, her mommy was able to calm her right down.

Alison & Abigail's board in the hospital room
Abigail found her thumb and was sucking away!
What a super Dad Robert will be!!  He is so wonderful
AND wonderful all ready with Abigail.  He is a fantastic husband and will be
a fantastic father.  Robert and Alison will have a peaceful, loving and fun home!

Abigail had finished eating and had settled down for a deep sleep.
She was adorable with her little hair bows and her open mouth while sleeping!

The "Circle of Life" takes on meaning when you own "baby" has a baby!
What a beautiful thing for my daughter to experience!
My love for her has grown even more as I watch her choose
to be a mother and to make that a priority in her life and in their
family life.  She is blessed with a great companion that supports
Alison being at home as a full-time mother.  What a blessing for Abigail!!!
