There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

JUNE 18, 2012 -- GATOR GOLF

GATOR GOLF OUTING

Today we had a fun outing and tried our skills at the local "putt putt golf" venue called "Gator Golf."  This used to be a super deal for us when we had several kids still ages 5 and under since "5 and under" are free!!!  We are all growing up so only Mason was free this year.

We learned that Robert is quite the golfer and has amazing strategy with his use of angels and math!  David, Rachel, Robert and Mom all got a  hole in one!

Rachel shows off her hole in 1!

Mason made progress and by the end he was "hitting" or pushing the ball with his little club rather than saying, "No, it doesn't work here.  I have to get closer!"  and then he would take his ball up and place it on the green right next to the hole, tap it in and cheer, "I did it!!"

Though the temperature was to be 91 degrees, there was a really nice breeze and half the course is shaded so we didn't roast at 2pm in the afternoon BUT we did get hot enough to need to go to "Happy Hour" at Sonic for half-price slushies!!!

Bethany on the top and Rebecca on the bottom with her "Justin Bieber purple" golf ball.

The zebra brought lots of entertainment as well!

Benjamin did have a good time, I think, but his favorite part was the slushies!

David is just one of the custest kids ever!!!!

Rachel is still one of the most animated kids ever!!

David looks like he is filming a shot from Hunger Games!!  That is his golf
club, not a bow and arrow, coming out of his back!!!

Robert and Alison Clawson --- we love having them home to visit!!!!
