There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

JUNE 2, 2012 -- SATURDAY WITH A SICK MOM

SATURDAY WITH A SICK MOM

Well, I think I pushed through being slightly sick a little too long and it came crashing down.  I was flat in bed most of the day -- except when I had to take and pick up Joseph at his CPEP class, take Rachel to her YW camp hike, drag out to put the water plants in the pond that came in the mail and won't last until Monday, then take and pick up Rachel from a birthday party, and help Benjamin pack for Scout Camp.  Is that really the definition of "flat in bed" and "feeling half dead"????  But that is how it goes when a mom is sick and dad is out of town and you are the only driver at home.  Oh, I miss my teenage drivers but especially my hard working husband who always keeps the dishwasher cycling through empty, fill, wash and repeat!!

I have to brag on the kids at home -- which right now are few!!!  With half of our family spread out across the world, I just have Joseph, Benjamin, Rachel, Bethany, David and Mason.  They have been soo good and tell me, "Mom you need to go lay down.  We can handle it!"  So I go to bed.  They have made dinner, brought me dinner in bed, brought me orange juice, taken care of Mason, done the dishes, and have been quiet so I can sleep.  I am a lucky mom!!!!

If you look along the right shoreline, you can see the new plants that we put in.
We put in 3 large "Black Eyed Susans" to the left of the rock path and a bunch of different ground covers.

Things are coming together slowly!!!
