There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

JUNE 24, 2012 -- JOSEPH'S BEST WEEK EVER!

"BEST WEEK EVER"

Saturday was a busy day for most of our family!  On Friday morning, Dad (Vernon) took Rebecca, Benjamin, Rachel, Bethany and David with him to Denton, TX and they hung out in a hotel and swam and watched the Razorback Baseball Team try to beat S. Carolina without success.  The next morning early, they drove to the location of EFY (Especially For Youth) to pick up Joseph and 6 other youth from our area who were at the EFY Conference all week.  Bethany told me that when Joseph got in the car he said he had had his "best week ever!"  That is fun to hear!  After Dad picked them up at 7am, they drove straight to the Oklahoma City Temple for our youth temple day.  What a great day for the youth!  Though it was hot outside and hot inside the temple due to a broken AC, they had a great day!
We had 4 children participate in baptism this day and then 2 who were along for the ride and enjoyed the special feelings that come by just being in the waiting room of the temple!!!

Here at home, I (Connie) worked away in my office trying to catch up on projects and paper that have accumulated over the past 4 years!  It is a long term project!  BUT I have now scanned all of our "scrapbook" stuff -- like programs, ticket stubs, postcards, etc. -- for the years 2010-present!!!  Yahoo!!!

  1. Love to hear comments like that from the kids! Go you on all your scrapbook scanning. I'm in the market for a new scanner that does pictures and scrapbook stuff. What kind do you use, and do you love it?
