There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

JULY 18, 2014: RECOGNITION FOR MANY

RECOGNITION FOR MANY
AMY'S GRADUATION and
CAMP KIDDOS AWARDS
JULY 18, 2014
Today finished Amy's 2 weeks of her intense Chinese course.  She worked hard and learned a lot.  We went to the Central Building for her to
receive her certificate

Friday was Amy’s last day of her Chinese class and she had her final exam.  She was amazing and scored a 95% on her exam!  She was finished early so she went home and I finished class.  After class, I went to dad’s office and we went on a lunch date to “Overseas Dragon” and had some dumplings.  I then did homework and we waited for Amy to return for her graduation.  At 3pm, we went over for Amy’s graduation.  When we arrived, the lady in charge of the program basically handed Amy her certificate and said, “Good Job.”  Uhhhh….. that was sort of a disappointment so a few of us suggested that we go over to a entry area where they had a big wall sign with the name of the university and we had the students that were receiving certificates line up on one side with the teachers and program director lined up in front of the University sign/logo.  They called each student’s name and they walked through and shook hands and received certificates.  It was good.  We are so proud of Amy!  She did great!

Graduates of the 2-week Chinese Course
Today the kids earned medals for behavior and achievements at camp.  They were so excited to show us their medals!!!!
