There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

FHS BAND COMPETITION IN OWASSO -- STARRING JOSEPH -- SEPT 30, 2012

FHS BAND COMPETITION IN OWASSO
STARRING JOSEPH -- SEPT 30, 2012

We flew home from Utah on Saturday morning and arrived in Tulsa, OK at 2pm.  Dad hustled to the car and I waited for the luggage.  I waited and waited and waited ......  Finally, the luggage came and I ran out to the Dad who was waiting and drove straight to Owasso High School for the band competition.  FHS was due to perform at 3pm.  We arrived at the stadium during the band prior to FHS.  As soon as that band finished, we hustled up to some seats with cameras ready and documented their great performance!!!

Joseph does such a great job with his marching!!!  We are so proud of him!  I know he is playing well, too, but I just can't hear him individually in the band!

We didn't get to stay for the finals this time, but they earned 6th place which is fantastic!  There are lots of good, big bands!

A Handsome Young Man!
After the performance, we got to visit with Joseph.  He told us that his saxophone got dropped on the bus and bent before competition.  He had to use someone else's sax.  He was a trooper.  We have his in being repaired now.
Joseph and Dad

Go Bulldogs!

We let Joseph head off with friends and Dad and I grabbed some dinner -- me Subway and Dad QT hot dogs -- then headed home.  We made a logic stop at Aldi in Siloam Springs then headed home to find the kids.
It was a good week and weekend!
