There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

OCTOBER 14, 2012: STAKE YOUTH DANCE

STAKE YOUTH DANCE
OCTOBER 14, 2012

Tonight is the Stake Youth Dance.  The kids were excited!  They were to dress up as a cartoon or Disney character.

Joseph, Rebecca and Enoch were ready to go dance it up!

Rebecca went as Minnie Mouse and was quite cute!  I helped her straighten her hair.  I told her she looked really cute and she replied, "That means lots of boys will want to dance with me!"  I then said "yep, but you need to be nice as well as cute."  She answered, "I am!" :)
Rebecca is a fun girl!

I thought Rebecca's tennis shoes were a cute update to this Minnie Mouse skirt that I made almost 10 years ago for Alison!

Joseph went as "Speedy Gonzalas!"
It was fun to see him a little nervous but a little excited about dressing up!  He usually opts not to dress up so this was a big step for him -- and he openly announced that!
Go Joseph!

Enoch Fleming is living with us right now.  He went as a character from Super Smash Brothers video game.

Fun times for the teenagers!
