There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

OCTOBER 21, 2012, SUNDAY -- "READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!"

 "READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!"
 OCTOBER 21, 2012

Today I, Mom, played organ in church for unit conference.  A tad stressful, but fun.  I wish I could play organ and pedals like Melissa!  Maybe someday!

In the afternoon, the kids colored and cut to make fall decorations for their bedroom doors.  Daniel has drawn a few silly pictures that he hung up in the upstairs hallway as well.

For Family Home Evening, I passed out a little package of materials for a little craft -- but it didn't have ANY instructions.  We talked about this and then applied it to our lives and using the Word of God as our instructions.  We also talked about having the instructions available but not reading them!  Are they helpful or valuable if we don't use them?
Then we made our crafts and the kids hung them on their bedroom doors.
It was a fun evening.

Not sure what Mason is trying to do, but he is still cute!

Mason loved his spiders!  It hangs on our bedroom door since he thinks that is his room and his bed.  :)
