There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

DAD'S PRESENTATION, LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
AND TREE PLANTING

Today at lunchtime, Dad gave a presentation to a BYU Alumn Chapter in Bentonville, AR.  I was invited to go!  It was held at the Bentonville Public Library and Dad did a great job talking about  "Financial Markets, Corporate Governance and Ethics."  He had lots of questions and group interaction!  We were also able to meet Brother Sederholm, from the  Rogers Stake, who is getting ready to leave to serve as mission president in the Denmark, Copenhagen mission!

Today was the last day of school for our kids!  They were quite excited!  They have had lots of fun activities this week!  This evening, we worked outside and planted 5 trees!!

We planted a Corkscrew Willow down towards the pond, 2 of the 3 Maples and 2 of the 3 redbuds up between the garden and the cul-de-sac!  That area is going to be our shady picnic spot as we water the garden and look out over the pond!!!  The pictures show the potential of our trees!!

While we were working outside, Rachel and David walked over to see the horses.  Rachel was SOOOO excited because the horse had her baby and she got to pet it!!!  She has worked to develop the trust of the mother horse and so the mommy horse and baby came to the fence and let her pet them!  It made her day!

The concrete crew will pour concrete tomorrow.  I also sprayed all the Bermuda grass starts in half the garden area and sprayed lots and lots of weedy stuff down on the pond edge!  We are getting ready to plant, plant and plant!!!  I'm so excited!!!

Tonight, Dad took the kids on a "Daddy Date" and they went to Braum's for a "Last Day of School Celebration!"

Left to right & Counter Clockwise:  Rachel, David, Bethany, Benjamin, Joseph
