With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

MAY 26, 2012 -- DAVID WILL SAVE US 

FROM THE ALIENS!!


Today was spent getting Vernon ready to go on his trip to Ghana.  We worked a few hours in the morning and then we were both tired -- too much late night dancing with the teenagers -- so we both took a morning nap!  We must be getting old!  Then we worked and finished up and he ran some errands.  At 3:30pm Hyrum drove Dad to the airport for his flight.
At home, we planted 6 "knock out roses" and watered all the new trees then got cleaned up and went to a wedding reception. It was fun!  We also had one of the girls' friends stay with us this weekend while her parents were out of town.
A happy event of the day was helping David make his alien hat out of aluminum foil.  He originally wanted me to totally wrap him in aluminum foil but I got him to agree to a hat.  He got this idea from a Hannah Montana episode.  He then made himself a "taser gun."  He is constantly on the look out for aliens and it is a great way to get him to follow Mason outside while I work so that he is not captured by aliens!!!
David is so creative and will be a very clever engineer or builder or architect someday!!!
David will save the world!!!
