There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

MAYY 30, 2012 -- WEDNESDAY

GARDEN BEDS, "OVER AND OUT",
AND YW CAMP PLANNING

Today was a very productive day!  This morning, Benjamin worked with me and we built 4 large raised garden beds.  We counted that he drilled 254 holes this morning!  He was the drill master!  We let Hyrum and Joseph haul the finished product down to the new garden area.

Benjamin -- the "drill master" of the day!!!
The first level of our raised beds that finish out at 8'x4'x12" deep.  We made 4 of these!

David and Mason were so fun to watch and listen to!!!  They have become quite good buddies the last week or so as they are the only little boys at home right now.  David is so kind and patient with Mason and Mason loves being a big boy with David.  The boys were playing like they had radios.  David had made one out of some styrofoam -- he's our creative engineer!  Mason would hold his hand up to his ear and say, "Hello. This is Mason.  I have to go get my shoes.  Be right back.  Over and out!"  It was so cute.  He always finished with "over and out."

It was a miracle -- today Mason said, "Mom, take my picture!!"

Another really cute thing Mason does is that when I ask him to do something for me like turn of the water hose or run get my purse .. he will respond "I'm on it!!!"
Our buddies!
This afternoon, we purchased the remaining compost and peat moss needed for the garden beds as well as some tomato and pepper plants!  I am so excited to plant!

This morning at 7:30am, Rachel and Bethany left to go to Silver Dollar City with Annaliece Clark and her mom.  They were so excited!  Neither of them had ever been on a roller coaster and Annaliece is a pro so she didn't even think to mention anything about it!  Well, it was more that they expected but they survived and had fun doing rides all day!  It reminded me of the time I took Alison to World's of Fun with Zonnie and Melvin and took her first on the "Mamba" and about scared her to death.

Here is personal record of the girls' experiences!!!

Vernon is doing well in Ghana and we get updates from Robert, Alison, Rebecca and Daniel who are currently in Italy.  They arrive here in Arkansas next week.
