There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

SEMINARY GRADUATION

This evening was seminary graduation for Hyrum.  We are so proud of him for achieving this accomplishment in life.  It was a pleasant surprise to hear that there would be a musical number by Hyrum and Michael Kamilos!  I didn't know Hyrum was singing!!!!  They sang "Called to Serve" and did a great job!

Hyrum and his seminary teacher, Sister Carmen Davis

Hyrum and Michael Kamilos sang "Called to Serve" as part of the program

Hyrum and Hyrum Erdman from the Pleasant Grove Ward.  They have met through all-region band and all-region jazz band and share the same awesome name!

Benjamin, David, Bethany, Rachel

After the graduation, we had cookies and treats and then the kids wanted to go play on the rocks of the river that runs by the stake center.  I need to remember this place when we need a location for pictures!  The rocks are beautiful!

We are feeling like a small family with only 7 kids at home.  We all feel a little bit lost and have to go through all 12 kids names to make sure everyone is accounted for!  I find it a bit amusing!

Mason usually loves his picture taken -- but not today!  He kept saying, "No mom. No picture."

This goose family was sweet -- 5 goslings!

  1. Those rocks are a good place for family pics! Congrats to Hyrum. Where are your other 5? I know where your older girls are, but Matthew, Daniel & Rebecca? What adventures are they on?
And good luck with all that dirt!
