SCIENCE FAIR, STRINGS, AND STRAWBERRIES
Today was a busy day! Early this morning we finished up Benjamin's science fair project. He called it "Liquid Sing Off." Sad news is that we bought the wrong size board (too small) and so he wasn't judged in the overall competition. He did receive full credit for his science grade, however. He was good with that. Benjamin sang a warm up in our computer microphone as a base trial. He then drank a liquid (milk, grapefruit juice, or apple juice) and then sang the vocal warm-up again. He took a break between each liquid and drank water to clear the vocal cords. I thought it was pretty cool. He interpreted his data with help of his choir teacher and had a nice project.
After school today, we had our orchestra dress rehearsal. We will have 5 groups play and a total of about 50 kids playing the "Batman Theme" as our grand finale! Fun stuff! Our school district has hired a full-time orchestra director for next year! I'm so excited!! It has been great to work with the orchestra, but it is time to get back and take care of family and my health full-time!

When we arrived home, Bethany checked her strawberry patch and was so excited to find tons of ripe strawberries!!! Daniel, David and Bethany had fun picking strawberries that we put in our salad for dinner!!!
