There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

FEBRUARY 10, 2015 -- FEBRUARY FLIGHT DAY #16

PHUKETT DAY #2 -- A DAY AT THE BEACH
FEBRUARY 10, 2015

Today was our day at the beach!  We walked down fairly early and staked our spot on the beach.  We found a little patch of sand that was shaded by a few trees.  Dad and a couple of others went back and bought us “Beach Pancakes” for breakfast.  Yummy!  We loaded up with sunscreen and the kids played and played.  I enjoyed relaxing and found that this beach has roaming merchants!  Without ever moving, I bought a scarf and a musical instrument.  This was better than Amazon!

We left just after noontime to avoid the harsh sun and we bought lunch from the street vendors on the way back. We had delicious food!  Benjamin and Bethany had gone back early, so I went with them later to buy water and something to eat.  We took naps, doctored a few sunburns of those who didn’t put on sunscreen a advised and hung out in our hostel rooms.

In the later afternoon, we went back to the beach and swam again and enjoyed the sunset.  It was beautiful.  For dinner, we lucked out and the restaurant next door to our hostel was celebrating a 1 year anniversary – with think – or the hostel was ……  For some reason, they were having a party and all hostel guests were invited!  We had free dinner!!!  It was great!
