There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

JANUARY 18, 2015 -- NAUVOO HERE WE COME!

NAUVOO HERE WE COME!
January 18, 2015

Our big news of the week is that we were accepted into the Nauvoo Pageant for this summer!  We are so excited!  We will be taking 13 Richardson’s which includes Melissa, Hyrum, Amy and RICHARD – assuming we can get him a Visa.  Won’t Nauvoo be a great place to teach him about the restoration of the gospel AND we will have 2 returned missionaries with us to guide him along the way!!  The most exciting part is that we know how fantastic Nauvoo is, due to our last experience, and all of the kids are so excited to feel the spirit and power of Nauvoo again AND to get to share it with Melissa, Hyrum and Amy.  It was be a great thing as our family is growing and healing and will bring us even closer as a family unit!  We are also excited that we were blessed to find a nice cabin just 1 mile east of the temple that we will be able to stay in.  It is a renovated cabin but has a great history.  It has central air, a full kitchen and will sleep all of us under one roof!  There is a bunk room that sleeps 8-9 and the older kids are so excited for that teenager time with Melissa and Hyrum!  It will be a guaranteed memory and so much fun!  Being so close to Nauvoo will also mean that we can go back and forth and take naps, see sights during our breaks, etc.  This will just be a great “cherry on top” to our time away and will be a great jump start back into “life” back in Arkansas.  Once we return to Arkansas, we are staying put and solid for a LONGGGGGG time.  Arkansas is home and we are excited to go back and stay put for the “long haul.”
