There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

FEBRUARY 25, 2015 -- FEBRUARY FLIGHT DAY #31

XIAN DAY #2
FEBRUARY 25, 2015

Today we took a ride with another group to the Terracotta Soldiers.  We pretty much did it on our own, but someone from the hostel communicated with our driver and kept a look out for us.  These Terracotty Soldiers are quite amazing.  The time that Emporer Qin was creating this wonder was about the same time as King Benjamin in the Book of Mormon.

The detail is amazing!

Workers were buried here amongst the ruins.

We went to a shop area where we met one of the men who first found a piece of a Terracotta Soldier while digging a well.  He autographed our book about the history of the Terracotta Soldiers.

TANG DYNASTY SHOW AND DUMPLING DINNER
We went to a music and dance show that was a representation from the Tang Dynasty.  There was also a dumpling dinner prior to the show and we tasted lots and lots of types of dumplings.  Many of the dumplings were shaped to match their fillings.  For example, the squid dumplings were shaped like an squid!  It was fun.  The dancing and stage show and musicians were amazing!

After the show, we enjoyed a walk along the city wall.  It was beautiful!

A glowing stone -- the Brother of Jared?
