There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

FEBRUARY 8 , 2015 -- FEBRUARY FLIGHT DAY #14

KUALA LUMPUR DAY #2
FEBRUARY 8, 2015

Today we had our same driver pick us up and take us to church.  With our map and a little searching, we finally found a couple of men in white shirts and ties which led us to the church!  We filled up 2 rows of chairs and enjoyed Sacrament Meeting.  While there, one of the members told Bethany that she looked just like a missionary that used to serve there.  As we talked, we figured out it was actually Braden Hancock’s wife that he was referring to! Pretty funny.
After church, we went with the driver who took us to a “tin factory” and we learned all about making tin and tin products.  It was quite interesting!

We then went to Batu Caves.  It was crazy busy at Batu Caves since the Thaipusam Festival was still ending.  There were tons of people, tents, merchants, music and chaos.  There were quite a few people still carrying silver platters of fruit and flowers up the long wall of stairs to offer to the statues inside the cave.  The big statue there is the largest “Lord Muruga” statue in the world. We saw a lot of monkeys and enjoyed seeing the caves.  It was quite an amazing place.

We went back to Central Market where our hostel was located and we ate dinner at the same Indian restaurant.  On our way, we found people doing a dragon dance on a stage nearby.  We tried our best to watch a bit but there were lots of people.  We then walked to find McDonald's for a treat and then back around towards our hostel.  Before we arrived back, we realized how close we were to Merdeka Square.  We didn't stop at the square the other day because we were running out of time, so we walked to the square and enjoyed the evening there.  , We finally made our way back to the hostel and then relaxed.
