There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

OCTOBER 25, 2014 -- BRANCH HALLOWEEN PARTY

BRANCH HALLOWEEN PARTY
OCTOBER 25, 2014

Our branch had a fun Halloween Party the weekend before Halloween.  I offered to have costumes made for the kiddos who had a plan and got information to me by a certain date.  Ben, Bethany, Rachel and Mason all came forth and had some fun costumes!
We also had some capes made for our dress up closet.

Ben as Elvis

Mason was a Ninja Turtle

Daniel used a cape to be "Joseph"

Rachel and her AWESOME Red Riding Hood costume
This is what we gave the tailor to make Rachel's costume from.

Bethany was Mary Poppins and was good at the Oreo game!

For our Halloween party, they divided all the adults into teams.  We had Jerwin Yu on our team and he is so awesome!  Jerwin is a Chinese local who was baptized July 4, 2013.  His wife if Phllipinno and they have 1 beautiful daughter and a baby on the way.  Jerwin was so energetic about all the games we playing!  It was time to do the "bobbing for apples" and we had buckets with apples floating inside.  Jerwin went first and quickly nabbed an apple.  The next person to go was an American and they couldn't even get their head inside the bucket!!!  Jerwin stepped forward and said, "Your head is too big!  I will do it!"  It was hilarious.  I guess Chinese have smaller heads!  This really got Jerwin excited and he was just a monster through all the other games!  He kept saying, "I can do this!!!"  and off he would go and win the game!  It was so much fun!

Jerwin is ready for the next game!
