With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

We arrived at the Nauvoo Junior High School and checked in and then started orientation and had costume fittings.  We weren't sure if they were going to let Stephanie in the pageant, but we kept our hope and faith that the Lord's will would come about.  She followed along and did all that we did.  We did finally hear on Tuesday that she was officially in!!!  Yahoo!!!

JULY 21, 2013 -- TRAVEL TO NAUVOO

NAUVOO HERE WE COME!
July 21, 2013

We have been waiting for months and months to get to go to Nauvoo and participate in the pageant!  We have prepared through Family Home Evening Lessons, learning music and planning our meals!
The time finally arrived!!!  We left about 8:30am on Sunday morning.  
We took a stop at a park for lunch and let the kids get out some energy.
Everyone is SOOOOO excited!

JULY 2013 -- ESTHER-ORDINARY MUSIC CAMP

The past several years, the kids have participated in the University Baptist Church summer Music Camp.  One of Melissa's friends now teaches the music and her family is very involved.  It is a fun music camp and the kids put on a little musical.  This year it was about Queen Esther.
Daniel got to play the part of Mordecai!  He worked hard memorizing his lines!

In between our reunions, sending off another missionary, and our 2 weeks in Nauvoo -- Benjamin and Daniel were able to attend and complete the swimming merit badge!  Yahoo!  It is always good to get a required merit badge finished!!!
