There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

AUGUST 2, 2013: CARTHAGE JAIL

CARTHAGE JAIL
AUGUST 2, 2013

When we pulled up to the Carthage Jail visitor's center, we saw this super cool motorcycle with a cute little pull trailer!  It was too cute to pass up a picture!  We did ask permission from the husband and wife team that pulled up in it before we took a picture!!!

Everyone wanted their picture taken by the statue of Hyrum and Joseph Smith
This was our first time ever in Carthage WITHOUT HYRUM!
Do I didn't make Joseph stand in front of the statue by himself.

On our way back to Nauvoo, we stopped for a picnic along
the Mississippi River.  A gorgeous day!

David and Mason

Mason just adores his brother David!

As you might have guessed by now, Bethany got a
hold of the camera for awhile!

Now Rachel has the camera!

David loved our Tropical Fruit!
