There is a quote: "LIFE IS NOT ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS.... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."
With 12 children and 5 adopted from Russia, we have had challenges and trials along with our joys. We have decided that we must
learn how to "dance in the rain." We must notice and acknowledge the joys and miracles in our lives.
They exist daily -- we just need to make sure we do not miss them!! This blog is to remind us of these miracles and joys!

SAYING GOODBYE
JANUARY 3, 2014

This sad day has arrived and we just don't want to say goodbye to the Clawsons.  They have brought so much joy to our family while they have been here for Christmas.  We will miss you so much and will count the days until we see you again!

DECEMBER 29, 2013: INDEXING FIRESIDE PARTY

INDEXING FIRESIDE PARTY
DECEMBER 29, 2013

Dad challenged our youth in January 2013 to set a goal for our ward that we would index 30,000 names during the year!!  Dad kept encouraging and helping the youth and their families all year!  It was now the end of the year and we had done such a great job but were just about 1500 names short!!  We held an Indexing Party at our house and cranked out a few more names!  Several parents jumped in and did several hundred names, our family worked and worked to add more names and Dad spent quite a few hours indexing!!!  On Dec. 31st Dad was informed that we had met our goal!!!!
Our ward indexed 30,456 names during 2013!

DECEMBER 28, 2013: ROBERT'S "BIRTHDAY"

ROBERT'S "BIRTHDAY"
DECEMBER 28, 2013

Since we haven't ever been able to celebrate Robert's birthday with him, we thought it would be fun to have a "birthday day" for him during Christmas Break!  Today was the day!
Alison and Bethany made a cool "Hobbit Hole" cake for him!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBERT!
Something that was quite fun and cute was that on our Christmas Schedule that I sent to our missionaries, I had put on the 28th that is was Robert's Birthday.  I didn't clarify and Melissa thought that was really Robert's birthday!  She was so sweet to send him a birthday post card!  During our Christmas phone call with Melissa, we clarified.  It is a fun memory!!!

MASON WANTED A PICTURE, TOO!
EVERYONE LOVES TO LIGHT THE CANDLES!
ROBERT, WE HOPE YOUR GREATEST DREAMS AND WISHES COME TRUE!!
